Comprised of vocals, cello, and modular synthesizer, the music of co-composers Alex Koi and Kirin McElwain bends between the avant garde, folk, chamber music and electronic. The music of their evening-length performance and upcoming debut album “Wake” processes ideas of temporality, memory, and our relationship to the natural world. While sonically minimalist, the duo packs an ecstatically charged and forceful power, defiant to conventional musical forms, but always telling a story with deep humanity. “Wake” is anticipated for release in 2027, proceeding the release of their debut EP fall 2026.
